January 12, 2009!
Okay......so I know I have said I would keep on top of this newsletter before,
but now it is a New Year's resolution!! Along with about 50 other things I
could do better....
So as we shake off the dust from the holidays, it is a great time to be in
Florida. Eric and I were very happy with our students and horses over the fall season,
and are looking forward to improving everyone this spring. After a very
successful year at the 3 star level, Somerset and I were named to the short
list for US Eventing. In addition to this good news, we have just found out
that the team training sessions will be held on our farm in Ocala, Florida. That was very cool for us, and we can't wait!
Eric and I are also teaching a lot of clinics this spring, two of which will be
held on our farm in Florida. We also got to teach the first ever eventing
clinic in Maui over Christmas, which was as much fun as we have had all year! Karen O'Connor set us up with that, and we were given a behind the scenes look
at the island by our host, Gary Green. Eric thinks he might have been a surfer in a previous life.....
As I gear up for my first trip back to Rolex in 5 years, we are having some
fantastic people at the farm to teach all winter. This will include Sally O' Connor once a month and Vaughn Jefferis twice before
Rolex. Both will be available to teach, so keep checking our web sites for
dates, and feel free to contact Candice Money at candice@ofet.net if you are interested in auditing or riding with either of these masters.
Happy New Year, and best of luck to everyone!
Sara
